For the UHF 25th Anniversary, “Weird Al” Yankovic came back to the town that the movie was shot in, Tulsa, Ok.
RSUTV and Circle Cinema had a full slate of events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the filming of the cult classic in Tulsa. There was a special screening of UHF followed by a Q&A session with star and co-writer “Weird Al” Yankovic, director and co-writer Jay Levey and producer Gray Frederickson at Tulsa’s historic Circle Cinema. Before the screening “Weird Al” was signing his new book and a special commemorative poster designed by me. There was a contest and my poster was personally picked out by “Weird Al” himself out of 13 other designs created by Oklahoma graphic designers.
After it was announced I won, I began creating many other UHF and “Weird Al” designs. Some were even shared by the actors in the movie on their social media accounts.
“Weird Al” posted my Rambo illustration on his Instagram page and it currently has over 5K+ likes. Go check it out here.
He posted the Gandhi illustration here and the Wheel of Fish here.
