Mascots, as an unspoken rule, cannot speak. So the idea of creating emojis for them just made sense. I created these emojis of Rogers State University’s mascot, Hunter the Hillcat, so RSU students could express themselves in various social media sites and further tie the connection that they are now an official Hillcat.
I also created stickers of each of the emojis to hand out around campus at certain locations. These locations were setup so students would have to do a scavenger hunt to find the sticker and try to collect them all throughout the year.
I also setup a way for students to design their own emoticon by sketching them out on a template that I used to work from so I can constantly add emoticons that students want to see.
